Description

Under the direction of the Parks Superintendent, this position is responsible for the day-to-day maintenance of the City's horticulture.  This includes a variety of tasks such as herbicide spraying, fertilizing, & weeding of annual beds and planters. Pruning of perennial plants. Plant identification. Annual and Perennial bed design including proper plant selection. Planting annuals and perennials. Planting of trees, as well as other duties as assigned. In this position you will be required to maintain and supervise an outdoor rink for the winter months from December weather dependent until March and or perform winter snow removal on the Chinook Parkway and parks stairs and walkways. The position requires you to work outdoors 90% and 10% indoors on the construction and refinishing of park furniture.
