Description

Housing Support Workers are members of the Kindred Spirit team and work together to provide housing support for clients in a flexible, compassionate, and responsible manner.

Qualifications:
Experience in human services, supported housing, or with persons with disabilities/addictions.
Knowledge and understanding of Indigenous culture.
Must pass criminal record check and vulnerable sector check.
MUST HAVE: Class 5 Driver's License; Candidates without a Class 5 Driver's License need not apply.
Reliable Transportation.
Excellent Communication (written & verbal), and interpersonal skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
Ability to work independently as well as a team;
Excellent time management skills;

Duties:
Review communications board, emails and logbooks when coming on shift. Review on-call schedule;
Be available to respond to client needs and requests where reasonable in a friendly and courteous manner;
Ensure property security alarms and cameras are on and functional;
Assist Program Staff when requested, to ensure the safety of staff and residents;
Maintain clear and concise logs of all unusual occurrences or suspicious activities.
Respond to accidents, contact EMS, or administer first aid/CPR as required.
Assist community members, guests, and employees during emergency situations.
Notify appropriate individuals (on-call staff, Supervisor, Manager) and/or Authorities in the event of critical incidents.
Maintain written and computerized records, compile reports, and complete other program documents (including case notes, statistics, letters, etc.).
Transport clients.
Provide culturally sensitive outreach, case management, and other needed services to clients.
All other duties & responsibilities as deemed necessary;
