PINTER & Associates Ltd. is seeking a Junior Geotechnical Engineer to join our Saskatoon office. PINTER is a Saskatchewan-based consulting engineering firm providing municipal, environmental, geotechnical, and waste management engineering services to public, industrial, government, and Indigenous clients across Western Canada.
The successful candidate will assist with geotechnical calculations, analysis and design; field investigations; drilling programs; soil and core logging; construction monitoring; materials testing; site inspections; laboratory testing coordination; instrumentation monitoring; data review; technical reports; proposals; and project correspondence. The role also includes supporting municipal facility projects related to planning, design, construction, operations and closure.
Applicants should have a bachelors degree in civil engineering, geotechnical engineering, or a related discipline. Current Engineer-in-Training registration in Canada, or the ability to obtain APEGS registration within one year, is required. Candidates should have 0-3 years of relevant experience, strong technical aptitude, Microsoft Office skills, and strong written and verbal communication skills. Organization, attention to detail, initiative, flexibility, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team are important. Previous construction materials testing, field inspection, or related geotechnical field/laboratory experience will be considered a strong asset and given priority.
