The successful candidate will provide one on one and small group mentorship to children and youth ages 5 ? 19 years in addition to the development of youth programming with a focus on positive mental health outcomes. We require a team player who can collaborate with other agencies for both deliver and assessment of programs for those in the mentorship program as well as to youth in the community.
Hours of work are late afternoon/evenings with potential for some weekend options. Hours will be variable during the summer and during school break periods. The successful candidate must have a valid driver?s license and the ability to transport clients in a reliable vehicle. A Criminal Record Check, Vulnerable Sector Check and Clean Driver?s Abstract are mandatory. Candidates will require at a minimum: First Aide/CPR certification, ASIST, MHFA, Food Safe Handling. You will be required to maintain confidential notes and provide regular written reports. Preference will be given to those who demonstrate a familiarity with child, youth and family resources and support services/agencies in the Battlefords.
