MUSKODAY FIRST NATION COMMUNITY SCHOOL Invites applications for a:
Special Education/Behaviour Program Coordinator

MFNCS is located SE of Prince Albert. MFNCS is Pre-K to Grade 8. The school offers the students many opportunities for learning and has an inclusive and holistic education. www.mfncs.org

The Special Education/Behaviour Program Coordinator will manage, develop and oversee the special education services offered at the school. The Spec.Ed/Behav. Prog Coordinator will need to be very organized, monitor and track students progress, and be the lead facilitator in this specialized area of expertise. Reports to the principal, the Education Authority, and to ISC as required for reporting.  Managing budgets is an expectation as part of this position.
IEPs will need to be completed in a timely manner and then professionally communicate with families, teachers and experts.  Interpersonal skills are a great asset along with trauma informed and First Nations understanding.  The successful candidate will also work with a Special Education Assistant.

Qualifications are as listed:
Bachelor of Education Degree Experience with Special Education is required, Masters in Education is an asset  
Experience as a special education teacher
Experience supervising and managing educational assistant(s)
Experience with Saskatchewan Curriculum
Valid Class 5 Drivers License

Salary depends on years of experience.
