Description

The City of Warman is seeking to fill the full-time position of Transportation Operator Level II in our Public Works department. Under direct supervision of the Public Works Transportation Lead Hand, the Transportation Operator level III is responsible for all the daily operations, maintenance and repairs of the City's infrastrucutre including streets, sidewalks, drainage systems and other assets. The role may also provide support to water and wastewater Operations as required.


Requirements:
        High School Diploma or equivalent plus three to five years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
    Must possess a valid Saskatchewan Class 5 Drivers License with clean abstract.
    Demonstrated the ability to safely operate a variety of equipment  at the Transportation Operator Level II including loaders, sweepers, tractors, skid steers, gravel trucks, garbage trucks, genie lifts/bucket trucks and backhoes. Preference will be given to candidates with grader experience and/or training.
    Ability to perform physically demanding work in various weather condition, including ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds or more as required.
    Adhere to all City policies, procedures and safety standards.  
    Use appropriate PPE in accordance with OH&S regulations and wear steel toed boots at all times.
    Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
    Ability to report to job sites within 20 minutes when being called in.
