Main Responsibilities:
Assist with recruitment activities including posting jobs ads, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, conducting reference checks, preparing offer letters and new hire packages.
Participate in career fairs and recruitment initiatives to help attract top talent.
Support onboarding activities and help facilitate new hire orientations.
Assist with employee offboarding processes and exit interviews.
Preparation of weekly employee staffing update and monthly safety related reports.
Assist with benefits, wellness program and RRSP administration, including enrolling new members and updating records.
Maintain accurate electronic employee records and ensure HRIS information is current and organized.
Respond to internal and external HR related inquiries in a professional and timely manner.
Support employee engagement initiatives and participate in Social Committee activities.
Provide administrative support to the Director of HR and assist with various HR projects and tasks as required.
Skills and Abilities:
Proficient computer skills, including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and HRIS systems (an asset).
Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, listening).
Strong administrative, time management and organizational skills with attention to detail.
Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
