Description

CMHA, Regina Branch, is seeking a summer student to assist with delivery of program services. Responsibilities include: providing direct psycho-social support to adults coping with a mental illness. -organize and facilitate social recreational activities that promote wellness and help build coping and life skills.-engage clients in meaningful activities and community events that help integrate clients into their community. - participate in community awareness and education events and program evaluation.
To be eligible, you must be between 20 to 30 years of age, must have been a full time student during the previous academic year and be intending to return to full-time studies in the next academic year. You must be a Canadian Citizen, a permanent resident or a refugee under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act. This is a temporary full-time position based on 38.75 hours per week, to be determined in consultation with the supervisor as per the operational requirements.

Qualifications: This position is ideal for a post-secondary student studying social work, psychology, nursing, addictions, occupational & recreation therapy. Experience working with adults coping with mental health challenges. Ability to take initiative and work independently. Strong interpersonal (written & verbal) communication skills. Good computer skills and knowledge on Survey Monkey is an asset. Excellent problem solving, decision making, organizational and multi-tasking skills. Must have a valid SK Driver's License.
