Description

The Role

This is a field-active role  you will regularly visit project sites, conduct operational audits, mentor Project Managers, and build client trust

Leadership & Team Management

Coach and hold accountable 5 Project Managers across trim, mow, and labour services
Conduct weekly reviews of project status, safety metrics, resources, and client feedback

Multi-Province & Multi-Division Operations

Monitor job costing (labour, equipment, subcontractors)
Support GM with field-level cost data for contract negotiations and change orders
Digital Transformation & Compliance


Financial & Contract Performance
Oversee vegetation management (SK & MB): utility tree trimming, hazardous tree removal, mechanical ROW clearing, mulching

Client & External Relations
Serve as senior operational escalation point for all clients
Conduct quarterly operational reviews with GM and key clients

Experience
10 years in utility vegetation management, industrial services, or related field
5 years in multi-crew operations management (managing multiple Project Managers)

Education & Certifications

UVMA Certification or Project Management, certification preferred
Post-secondary degree


Digital Transformation & Compliance
Lead deployment of a tablet-based field system across all divisions
Ensure ISNet is the single source of truth for training, certs, and compliance

Training & Certificate Management

Ensure every worker has current, client-approved certifications in ISNet before mobilization
Work with Labour Services to schedule training, upload certs, and prevent expiries



Skills & Competencies

Operational leadership clear expectations, accountability without micromanaging
Financial acumen P&L, job cost reports, margin improvement

Logistics

Willing to travel 25% across SK & MB, including remote locations (valid driver license)
