The RM of Shellbrook No. 493 invites applications for an Administrative Assistant. The position reports to administration and provides support to the Acting Administrator, Ass't Administrator and Council. Duties include but are not limited to:
- Daily activities including customer service, correspondence, filing, data entry, scanning and receipting
- Accounts payable, receivable and bank reconciliations and bank deposits
- Payroll and government remittance
- Reconcile inventory
- Accepting development & building permit
- Annual assessment roll
- Bylaw and agreement registries
- Council meeting packages
- Taking meeting minutes
- Website maintenance
- Other duties as assigned
Experience and qualifications preferred:
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
- Friendly and courteous demeanor
- Keen attention to detail and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
- Proficient with computers including Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Word and Excel)
- The ability to work under deadlines
- Experience in municipal operations, budgeting, financial operations, assessment, taxation and general office management would be considered an asset
