Primary Focus:
The Group Home (GH) Coordinator is responsible for the overall running of the home and ensuring that the residents have a high quality of life. This can be maintained through effective program plans and a friendly and reliable staff. The GH Coordinator is responsible for administering all medication treatments/interventions as trained by professionals as well as to ensure all staff have been trained appropriately.
Key Accountabilities include:
- Program Management, Financial Management, Human Resource Management and Physical Plant Management.
Education:
- Grade 12
- Disability Support Worker Certificate, Continuing Care Assistant or equivalent training in a related field is required.
- CLSD Level 3 in writing behavior support plans preferred.
- Valid drivers license
- Sign language is desirable.
Experience:
- 3-5 years of management experience working with cognitively and/or physically challenged adults in a residential or vocational setting.
- Experience in the design of developmental programming and behavioral interventions.
- Experience working with residents with high medical needs.
