The Opportunity
Living Sky School Division is seeking a Full-Time Teacher (1.0 FTE) to join the team at Norman Carter School beginning August 26, 2026.
This position consists of 0.50 FTE permanent and 0.50 FTE temporary replacement, with the temporary portion ending June 30, 2027, or upon the return of the employee being replaced.
The successful applicant will guide our Grade 5 students (0.50 FTE) and support students with complexity needs (0.50 FTE). Experience in early years education would be considered an asset. Our complexity students require a strong foundation in literacy and numeracy fundamentals, and the successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to build meaningful relationships, differentiate instruction, and support student success.

About the School
Norman Carter School is a lively, collaborative learning community with high expectations for all students and staff. Built in 1961, the school is named in memory of Norman Carter, a highly respected Wilkie pioneer and longtime publisher and editor of the Wilkie Press. Over the years, the school has grown alongside the community, expanding to include spaces that support a wide range of student learning needs, including a gymnasium, resource and developmental spaces, and a welcoming library.
