Housing Support Worker  CUMFI

CUMFI is seeking a motivated and organized Housing Support Worker to support the daily operations of our housing properties. This position works closely with tenants, staff, and community partners while ensuring housing operations are maintained in accordance with CUMFI policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

Review housing applications and complete reference checks
Respond to tenant concerns, complaints, and maintenance requests
Prepare tenant warnings, eviction notices, and administrative correspondence
Conduct suite inspections for damages and cleanliness
Coordinate move-ins and move-outs with staff
Prepare Rentalsman claims and attend hearings when required
Gather information related to insurance claims
Maintain surveillance systems within housing properties
Meet regularly with internal departments and external agencies regarding housing matters
Follow up on rental arrears, guarantee letters, and tenant concerns
Submit monthly rent roll reports and annual project data reports
Promote a positive and professional image of the organization
Other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Skills:

Degree or diploma in Business, Human Services, or related field preferred
Minimum 3 years experience in housing, property management, administration, or related field
Strong communication, organizational, and conflict resolution skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently
Knowledge of Indigenous culture and communities is considered an asset
Understanding of confidentiality and professionalism in a diverse environment
Experience with reports, documentation, and basic financial processes
Strong problem-solving and teamwork skills
