Description

Under the direction of the Senior Supervisor, the successful applicant will perform production duties and may assist in the coordination and delivery of training to program clients.

Duties include:
-Performing production activities and operating production machinery including Mitre saws, up cut saws, table saw, air-nailers, pallet jacks, multi rip saw, banding machines, and material handling equipment
-Assisting in job planning, supervision and delegation of duties to area clients
-Ensuring area procedures are followed to ensure product quality, production efficiency and safe working conditions
-Shipping and receiving materials
-Assisting with inventory counts
-Performing production activities and operating production machinery in additional Training Centre Departments as required
-Other duties as assigned by Supervisor or Senior Supervisor

Qualifications:
-Grade 12 Diploma or equivalent
-Industrial, mechanical and/or woodworking experience
-Forklift operators certificate and WHMIS certification are considered assets
-Strong interpersonal skills and a desire to work effectively with individuals experiencing disabilities
-Strong math and communication skills
-Final Candidates are required to provide satisfactory criminal record checks including a vulnerable sector search
