Farm Labourer / Livestock Worker

BoviGen Genetic Services is seeking a dependable and hardworking Farm Labourer / Livestock Worker to join our team. This is a hands-on role focused on feeding cattle, operating equipment, livestock handling, and supporting day-to-day farm operations.

We are looking for someone with practical farm experience who is comfortable working around cattle, operating machinery, and working outdoors in all weather conditions. The ideal candidate is reliable, motivated, and willing to help wherever needed in a fast-paced livestock environment.

Key Responsibilities
Daily feeding and bedding of cattle
Safe handling and movement of livestock
Operating farm equipment including tractors, loaders, skid steers, and feeding equipment
General farm, yard, and facility maintenance
Cleaning pens and maintaining livestock areas
Monitoring cattle health and reporting concerns
Assisting with calving and newborn calf care as required
Equipment cleaning and basic maintenance
Assisting with general farm labour and seasonal tasks
Requirements
Previous farm or livestock experience preferred
Experience handling cattle safely and confidently
Ability to operate farm equipment is considered a strong asset
Mechanical aptitude and general equipment knowledge are assets
Physically capable of demanding farm work in varying weather conditions
Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Flexibility to work evenings and weekends when required
Compensation

Wage is based on experience.
