Description

The Whitecap Dakota Nation (WDN) Youth & Community Coordinator supports the development, coordination, and delivery of culturally grounded programs and services for children, youth, and families
within the Whitecap Dakota Nation. Working under the direction of the WDN Youth & Community Programs Team Lead, the Coordinator helps plan and implement recreational, educational, cultural, and wellness-focused activities that strengthen community engagement, promote healthy lifestyles, and support positive youth development.
This role works closely with local leadership, Elders, Knowledge Keepers, educators, and service providers to ensure programming reflects community values, traditions, and priorities. The Youth & Community Coordinator assists with daily program operations, event logistics, outreach and communication, participant support, and administrative tasks such as attendance tracking, reporting, and maintaining program spaces.

perform additional, position-specific duties.  In accordance with standards of WDN and reporting to the
WDN Youth & Community Program Team Lead, the Employee will:
Supervise children, youth and/or family participating in programming.
Implement and deliver programs and activities set out by Team Lead daily.
Provide mentorship, support and guidance to children, youth, and families within specific
program areas.
Deliver and fully participate in culturally relevant programs and activities.
Assist operations and coordinate activities at the CRHES venue.
