Northlands College is seeking an Instructor for our Adult Basic Education (ABE), Math & Science. Located in Bigstone. The Instructor's primary responsibility will be to effectively deliver Saskatchewan curriculum content to students registered in Adult 10 and 12 programming. Areas of instruction may include the following 10, 20, or 30 level courses: Mathematics, Science, Financial Literacy, or other courses as assigned. The instructor will play a crucial role in ensuring that program learning objectives are met, and students are engaged and motivated to learn. Overall, the aim will be to create a positive and successful learning environment that fosters student achievement and success. This position will be reporting to the Senior Coordinator, Adult Basic Education (ABE).
Candidate must have a Bachelor of Education with the ability to teach: 10, 20 & 30 level Math; 10, 20 & 30 Level Science; 30 Level Financial Literacy; and 30 Level electives and must have a valid Saskatchewan Professional A Teaching Certificate, and be eligible to register with Saskatchewan Professional Teachers Regulatory Board (SPTRB).
Proven experience teaching northern and Indigenous learners is required, with a commitment to culturally responsive and community-informed practices.
The term of the contract is 200 Instruction days The Term starts on August 17, 2026 and ends on June 29, 2027.
