The RM of Chester No. 125 is accepting applications for a Seasonal Full-Time Equipment Operator/Laborer, with duties to commence as soon as possible until October 31st, 2026, unless otherwise agreed upon.
Preference will be given to applicants with experience in road maintenance operations and equipment servicing. As well, preference will be given to applicants that possess a 1A drivers license.
The successful candidate will be responsible for grading and maintaining municipal roads within the RM of Chester under the direct supervision of the Public Works Foreman. Duties will also include mowing grass, operating the backhoe to complete minor road repair work, and performing any other tasks or operating additional equipment as required by the Foreman.
Must be willing to work in a challenging, fast paced environment with the ability to work efficiently and effectively un-supervised. The successful applicant must have the ability to read and interpret documents such as maps, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and manuals and procedure manuals. As well complete the Powered Mobile Equipment training, provided by the RM upon hiring.
A valid Saskatchewan class 5 drivers license is required.
