As part of the Rapid Access Counselling program, you provide clinical counselling, therapy, & related services to individuals (children, youth, adults), couples, & families seeking assistance with personal/interpersonal problems. May provide group therapy sessions & engage in community collaborations.
Provide counselling, therapy & related services.
Experience in counselling children, youth & families
Conducting initial assessments to determine needs & goals
Develop individualized serviced plans
Facilitate groups & develop programs
Attend agency meetings, knowledgeable about agency programs/community activities & community outreach
Perform related administrative & record keeping duties
Participate in clinical supervision
Assist with supervision of peers, students & individual cases
Work flexible hours - including evenings & weekends
Other duties as assigned
Degree in Social Work (BSW, BISW)
3-5 years of supervised clinical experience in a related/relevant counselling area
Eligible to register with & maintain good standing in a relevant professional association
Theories/Practices of
interviewing, assessment, & evaluation techniques

communication & conflict resolution
trauma- & violence-informed approaches
Assess high risk clients (suicidal) & intervene quickly/appropriately
Experience with evidence-based interventions for children & youth mental health & behavioural concerns
Cultural awareness & sensitivity to Indigenous, immigrant, refugee, newcomer and 2SLGBTQI+ communities
Experience in facilitating group work; knowledge of group dynamics
Strong organizational, time management & caseload management skills
Excellent written & verbal communication
Maintain confidentiality & uphold professional ethical standards
Respond effectively to complex & sensitive situations
