The Thrift Store Associate supports the daily operations of the retail store by providing excellent customer service, maintaining an organized and welcoming sales environment, and assisting with merchandising and sales floor operations.

As part of Break Free Outreach Ministries Inc.'s social enterprise model, this role contributes to a workplace that creates opportunity, builds skills, and supports positive community impact. Thrift Store Associates are expected to work collaboratively with staff and volunteers while contributing to a respectful, team-oriented environment.

This position reports directly to the Thrift Store Manager.

Qualifications & Experience
Previous retail or customer service experience is an asset but not required  
Strong interpersonal and communication skills  
Reliable, punctual, and willing to learn  
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment  
Ability to follow direction and complete assigned tasks  
Basic cash handling or POS experience is an asset

Working Conditions
Part-time or full-time hours as scheduled  
On-site retail environment  
Requires standing, lifting up to 50 pounds, and active movement throughout
shifts  
May include evening and weekend shifts
