Description

We are looking for a responsible, efficient and organized person to help with day-to-day reception, clerical support & medical transportation for in-town & out-of-town travel arrangements to help our clients of LLRIB. The successful candidate will also be responsible for Informing and educating the band membership of the First Nations and Inuit Health (FNIH) roles and responsibilities of patient transportation assistance along with the clients responsibilities when they require assistance for medical travel. The position is based at the Jeannie Bird Clinic in La Ronge and supports the Medical Transportation Program.

Key Duties
- Provide general office functions: incoming calls, typing, maintain filing system, operating office equipment, coordinate & distribute mail & supplies, appointment bookings;
- Participate in scheduled staff meetings, record, type and distribute minutes;
- Maintain adequate general office supply inventory for the Medical Transportation Call Centre;
- Preparing necessary forms, certificates and medical attendance, transportation warrants and distributes copies as necessary;
- Coordinating the medical transportation to ensure maximum economy and efficiency;
- Informing and education the Band Membership of the First Nations and Inuit Health (FNIH) role and responsibilities of patient transportation assistance and client responsibilities when medical travel assistance is required;

Qualifications
- Administration certificate or equivalent experience
- Strong MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Experience working with First Nations communities is an asset
- Cree language skills are an asset
- Valid Class 5 Drivers License required
