Job Summary:
The Nurse in our Supportive Living home acts as a primary caregiver for children with complex medical needs. Our nurses play a fundamental role in providing hands on medical care and a holistic and inclusive approach to each childs health and healing. Our nurses advocate for the needs of each child and work in collaboration with staff, families, and each childs healthcare team to ensure each child reaches their full potential.
Nurse Supervisors administer the mission, philosophy, and objectives of Hope's Home. They are accountable for the management of all operational activities and staff in the Supportive Living program of Hope's Home, including upholding the standards for nursing practice, recreational programs, therapeutic programs, staff development and accreditation.
Nurse Supervisors also manage and delegate work assignments to staff on the floor. Nurse Supervisors work in a team environment while maintaining consistent communications with the child's outside professionals, in order to provide the exceptional care required to meet the evolving needs of each child with complex medical needs living at Hope's Home.
Nurse Supervisors are accountable to the Senior Manager of Supportive Living, who reports to the Ministry of Social Services regarding individual contracts and licensing. House Manager will provide direct support to the Nurse Supervisor.
