Description

Stewart Steel seeking a skilled and reliable Metal Fabricator to join our team. The successful candidate will fabricate, assemble, fit, and install structural steel and metal components according to engineering drawings and production specifications. The role requires experience operating fabrication equipment, interpreting blueprints, and maintaining high safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and fabrication specifications
Measure, mark, and layout metal materials for cutting and assembly
Fabricate and assemble structural steel, plate work, and metal components
Operate fabrication equipment such as brake presses, shears, grinders, drills, ironwork, and cutting torches
Perform fitting, tack welding, bolting, and riveting of metal parts and assemblies
Inspect finished products to ensure compliance with specifications and quality standards
Use overhead cranes, hoists, and rigging equipment to move materials safely
Maintain a clean and safe work environment in accordance with company safety policies
Collaborate with welders, machinists, and production staff to meet project deadlines
Perform routine equipment maintenance and report repair needs
