COMPETITION:    003IT2010

As a Business Analyst, you will join the corporate systems team and act as a key liaison between business users and the development team. You will play an integral role in facilitating changes to business processes and information systems and will be a key contributor in successfully transitioning projects to steady state operation.  This Business Analyst deals with small to medium sized projects which involve a limited number of systems or business areas and are rated low-medium complexity and risk.  You may also assist on larger projects/changes.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
1.    Requirements planning, gathering, analysis, documentation, and communication
2.    Prepare test plans, detailed test cases and estimate test effort
3.    Assist developers with unit and system testing and conduct thorough acceptance testing.
4.    Follow the CLIC project management methodology,
5.    Implementation planning and post-implementation improvements for training, conversion and roll-out,
6.    Assist with preparing detailed solution designs; participate in review, assessment, selection and customization of purchased solutions.
7.    Participate in implementation planning and provide support during implementation, verification and data conversion activities
8.    Assist with development of user documentation (i.e. new systems implementations)
9.    Assist with preparing and delivering training to trainers or users

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
1.    Post secondary education in Business and/or Computer Science with relevant work experience.  Introductory Loma and/or AHIP insurance courses.
2.    Working knowledge of Project Management and SDLC methodology and processes
3.    Competent in the use of basic BA tools and knowledgeable of SDLC processes & tools.  
4.    General knowledge of Business Analysis practices, especially requirements management and testing
5.    Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
6.    Ability to work effectively in multi-disciplinary teams
