This administrative position will provide an
excellent opportunity for the successful candidate
to learn more about the role of an animal welfare
organization in promoting the humane care of pets
and livestock.
The position is funded under the Canada Summer
Jobs program, and as such, applicants must be
between 15-30 years of age, and have been
registered as a full-time student during the
preceding academic year and intend on returning to
school on a full-time basis during the next
academic year in a post-secondary, vocational or
technical institution.
Responsibilities:
- File case reports and related documents relating
to confidential animal cruelty investigations;
- Assist in the administration of a pet
safekeeping survey;
- Assist in preparations for the 2014 Sask. SPCA
Animal Welfare Conference;
- Develop content for, and make updates to, the
Saskatchewan SPCA website and social media;
- Provide relief reception duties;
- Organize reference materials and periodicals;
and
- Complete other duties as assigned.
Successful completion of a criminal record check
will be required. Candidates should have good
computer skills and a concern for animal welfare.
