The Southwest Booster, part of TC Media, is seeking an energetic, creative, and dedicated media professional to join our editorial team as Reporter. This position is a one year term.
TC Media is a leading edge media publisher with a network of newspapers, websites, and other media assets. Beyond being Canada's largest commercial printer, our publication arsenal includes newspapers and their associated websites; Moose Jaw Times-Herald, The Prince Albert Daily Herald, Rural Roots, Sask. News, Southwest Booster plus weekly publications across Saskatchewan. Still more than a newspaper publisher, we provide multi media advertising solutions that leverage an industry leading array of national brands; Canadian Living, The Hockey News, Occasions Magazine, Weblocal.ca, Yahoo.ca, and BidGo.ca just to name a few.
Duties will include covering a broad spectrum of issues and beats. The position also involves taking photos and video with digital equipment (provided). The Southwest Booster and swbooster.com prides itself in providing readers with a well-rounded local news package, with emphasis on people, issues and events that affect this close-knit community, and the surrounding coverage area.
The successful candidate should be enthusiastic, inquisitive, personable and able to concentrate in a busy work environment. He or she will require a current drivers licence along with a reliable vehicle. A good working knowledge of the Internet and website backends is an asset.
