Description

Under the supervision of the Sales Manager, the focus of the role will be booking and coordinating catering events. Other tasks will include participating in various projects and activities to maintain the image of the hotel in the eyes of our customer base and employees.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Accept calls for catering events, forwarding to the Sales Manager or cluster sales team as appropriate
Book and finalise smaller events; entering details into Delphi, briefing the F&B team and assuring payment details are in place
Monitor and handle guest inquiries in a timely fashion
Monitor changes to BEOs ensure that accurate information is communicated
Monitor guest reactions while in house, ensuring 100% guest satisfaction
Participation in projects as assigned, with a goal of improving the image of the hotel in the eyes of customer base and employees
Have input into development of policies & procedures

QUALIFICATIONS:
    Two to three years of sales experience, preferably in the hospitality industry
    Relevant degree, diploma or certification a distinct advantage
    Knowledge of Delphi or other Sales Management software an advantage but not essential
    Thorough working knowledge of catering sales
    Commitment to the principles of excellence and integrity, with a proven ability to build working relationships on that basis
    Able to prioritise workload and respect deadlines
    Detail oriented with strong organizational office skills
    Must have a valid drivers license, own transportation, be willing to work flexible hours and be available to travel on an ad hoc basis
