Instructors will be responsible for delivering SIIT programs and curricula. This includes the following broad range of accountabilities:
* Prepare lesson plans and appropriate planning documents for course delivery
* Incorporate current technology advancements within instruction and administration where applicable
* Make recommendations to modify course objectives, course outlines, curriculum and evaluation procedures and such instruments
* Adhere to and promote academic regulations and SIIT policies and procedures
* Foster a positive, collaborative and professional working relationship among students, coworkers and partners across the institution
* Ensures a positive, diverse and inclusive work and learning environment
* Select, design, update and create course related materials including student assessment records, and attendance records
* Maintain classroom, shop and/or lab discipline and, if necessary, recommend action to applicable supervisor regarding student behavior, including formal student disciplinary action
Required Qualifications and Experience: RN or RPN currently registered and in good standing with the Saskatchewan Registered Nurses Association or the Saskatchewan Psychiatric Nurses' Association. For success in this position a genuine commitment to help students learn and succeed is required. Prior teaching experience is preferred. Knowledge of First Nations cultures and organizations would be an asset.
