Description

Battlefords Residential Services Inc. (BRSI) is a non-profit, community based organization providing residential, day program and support services for individuals with intellectual and physical disabilities through the operation of: 6 group homes providing service for 34 individuals; a Supported Living Program providing service for up to 18 individuals and a community based day program providing service for 9 individuals.  BRSI is inviting applications for the position of Associate Executive Director.  This is a permanent, full time position with an excellent benefit package.  

The AED is directly accountable to BRSIs Executive Director and is directly responsible for all facets of the Support Services of BRSI pertaining to the recruitment, training and development of BRSI employees and indirectly accountable for all facets of the leadership and management of the organization.  
The AED, will assist and support the ED in promoting and supporting the financial, operational and organizational objectives of BRSI and in developing and implementing systems, policies and strategies to assure compliance with relevant laws and regulations including the proper and timely filing of all legal and regulatory documents;  Keeping informed of trends and developments in human resources, labour relations,  non-profit management and governance; ensuring  that BRSIs policies and procedures are consistent with the Saskatchewan Employment Act and assuring a work environment that recruits, retains and supports quality staff.  

THE AED will focus on Human Resource aspects within the organization including but not limited to interviewing, hiring, disciplining, performance evaluations, orientation and training programs for staff.  

A Criminal Record Check including Vulnerable Sector Search and a valid Drivers License are required.
