The newly formed Saskatchewan Professional Teachers Regulatory Board is seeking a dynamic, focused leader for the position of Chief Operating Officer and Registrar.
The Saskatchewan Professional Teachers Regulatory Board is proud to serve and to regulate Saskatchewan's 13,000 teachers.
Some aspects of the position include:
- Being the Chief Operating Officer for Teacher Regulatory Services for the Province of Saskatchewan
- Implementing Operational Policy and Procedure, development, interpretation, and monitoring
- Responsibility for the day to day operations of the system
- Fulfilling the role of Registrar for teacher certification
- Assessing existing programs and services then advocating and implementing appropriate changes or enhancements to these programs and services
To apply you should have:
- Senior Leadership experience including a Master's degree and at least five years of successful teaching experience in the province of Saskatchewan
- Demonstrated knowledge of Saskatchewan Curriculum and Ministry of Education teacher certification
- Demonstrated knowledge of teacher certification practices in other jurisdictions
- Demonstrated ability to prepare for and facilitate meetings of boards and committees
- Demonstrated ability to conduct research and write policy
- Demonstrated ability to establish a rapport with and act as a role model for administration and staff
- Demonstrated knowledge of and ability to collaborate with Saskatchewan's education stakeholders
- Demonstrated knowledge of self-regulated professions
- Superior interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
