The Position:

The successful applicant will join one of our project teams developing software for systems that include real-time equipment control, complex proprietary communication protocols, high-availability/scalable architectures and graphical user interfaces featuring sophisticated real-time updates and complex data visualizations. Some projects involve complex mathematic models of aspects of satellite communications; candidates with a background in applied math and/or engineering often have opportunities to apply these skills. SED software developers experience all phases of the software development lifecycle, including the installation of systems to sites located all over the world. Developers are regularly tasked with solving complex, challenging problems and succeed through continual learning and the application of modern, proven technologies. Through the development and delivery of complex systems SED Software Developers are able to acquire the skill set needed to tackle sophisticated software challenges within dynamic project environments  all while providing top-quality customer service.

This position will be of interest to candidates with:
A four-year degree in Computer Science, or a degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Engineering Physics (with multiple computer science or equivalent classes)
The ability to integrate well into a team environment, to quickly solve complex problems, and to easily adapt to new technologies
Proficiency in C++ or Java
