Greenland Waste is currently accepting applications for a Mechanic.
-Knowledge of the operating and repair characteristics of large fleet vehicles
-Must be willing to comply with all safety aspects and standard procedures.
-Ability to read and understand complex electrical & mechanical drawings, shop manuals and troubleshooting diagrams.
-Able to communicate clearly so the parts necessary for a job are ordered correctly and promptly.
-Able to work independently and to ensure quality completion of a project in a timely manner.
-Ability to work in conditions that are dirty, wet, greasy and able to work outside in all types of weather if needed
-Ability to provide close attention when working with small parts of complex equipment and to use good eyesight and hearing for diagnosing problems and inspecting work.
-Knowledge of the principals and operation of diesel and gasoline internal combustion engines
-Additional courses in welding, ABS brakes, hydraulics, computer components and electrical systems is an asset.
-Should have Grade 12 Diploma or equivalent and heavy duty mechanic experience.
