Description

BASIC PURPOSE:  
    To complete detailed design of hydraulic components based off of dimension requirements supplied from the product development teams. This includes detailed drawings, Bills of materials, and material specifications.
    To provide engineering support in the manufacturing of hydraulic components.
    Develop Job Methods and other standard work regarding to the manufacturing of  hydraulic components

RESPONSIBILITIES:
    Detailed design of  Hydraulic components
    Design of specialized manufacturing equipment using CAD software.
    Specification of materials and other purchased components
    Specify manufacturing processes to improve safety, quality or productivity using lean principles to minimize waste as well as trouble shoot and make improvements
    Develop testing methods to insure quality of product, this includes documentation of results.
    Oversee the commissioning of new equipment, fixtures and processes.
    Trouble shooting and design modification to existing fixtures and equipment.
    Develop and document standard work
    Implement lean manufacturing principles on the production floor and in the office
    Review & coordinate engineering changes

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
    Degree or diploma in Mechanical/Industrial Engineering, or related field.
    Strong industrial/manufacturing engineering background
    Knowledge of tooling design is a strong asset
    Extensive knowledge & application of lean manufacturing principles
    3D CAD experience is required (SolidWorks preferred)
    CNC Turning and Machining  CAM experience
    Strong computer skills
    Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills
    Attention to detail
    Strong trouble-shooting and problem solving skills with a hands on approach
