Description

The Kinistin Saulteaux Nation Health Department is seeking to fill a full-time Community Health/Home Care RN position.  Kinistin is a community rich in tradition and culture and offers an atmosphere of warmth and vitality.  Kinistin Saulteaux Nation is located southwest of Tisdale, near Kipabisku Regional Park.

As a member of the Kinistin Clinic, the successful candidate will provide comprehensive holistic community health/home care nursing and programming.  The Community Health/Home Care Nurse will report directly to the Health Program Manager and will receive clinical supervision/support from the Saskatoon Tribal Council.  Travel both in and out of the community will be required.

QUALFICATIONS:
-baccalaureate in Nursing, eligible for registration in Saskatchewan or RN with Community Health Nurse experience and/or certification in community health nursing will be considered;
-a valid driver's license and dependable transportation are required;
-strong interpersonal and communication skills (both oral and written);
-ability to work effectively within holistic team approach;
-case management and client assessment skills;
-strong commitment to health prevention, health promotion and community development
-ability to speak Saulteaux or a native language and previous experience with a First nation Community an asset.
-no evening, weekends or shift work is required in this position
