Main Function:
Develop, implement, and support sales programs in relation to precision Ag services to achieve sales and margin objectives.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and manage regional sales strategies, ensuring overall alignment with corporate objectives including outlining expectations for sales, gross margin and pricing.
Provide leadership, direction and coaching to Agronomists, Sales Representatives and Branch Managers in the development of sales, assist them in meeting performance targets, and ensure alignment with Business Strategy.
Management of the customer base and the successful implementation of customer programs.
Manage local supplier relationships, negotiates purchase terms with local suppliers and keep in good standing
Developing, implementing and achieving sales targets and margin targets for the geography.
In conjunction with Divisional and Branch management, assists in the development of sales, operating and capital budgets.
Accountable for the provision of real time information regarding saleable inventory, competitive pricing/programs, and reporting of sales vs objectives.
Staying abreast of new technologies, customer needs and regulatory changes within the product line for customers and retails.
Develop and implement training programs to retail staff.
Manage and participate in Ag Trade Shows in Western Canada.
Negotiate /manage contracts for third party contractors. Ensures all required certifications (WCB, liability insurance certificates, applicable grain storage and auger assembler certifications, are current and compliant.
Resolution of customer and product complaints.
Provides market intelligence to Product Line Manager, Marketing, Regions, and Division Management Teams.
Have a valid class 5 driver's license. Demonstrate ability to manage, coach and develop people within the terms of the collective agreement and human resource policies.  Proficient in Word/Excel and database software applications.
