Position of Safety Advisor
Saskatchewan Locations
South East Construction L.P. (SEC) is looking for experienced Safety Professionals. Reporting to the Manager, Safety, the Field Safety Advisor will be assigned to Projects based in Saskatchewan in an Industrial setting.
Duties and Responsibilities:
-to adhere to the SEC Safety Policies and Procedures as well as the specific Clients Health and Safety manual and all other applicable legislation to ensure compliance by all workers
-to promote an injury free, safe and healthy workplace through hazard identification and control, by implementing best practice health and safety standards
-communicate with clients and SEC Management
-complete and submit all required safety documentation, including safety statistics
-conduct site inspections, note safety concerns and communicate with site supervision to implement a safe resolution
-ensures corrective actions are executed and maintained in the work place
-attend and participate in safety meetings, toolbox meetings
Qualifications:
-must possess a safety officer designation or degree
-minimum 5 years experience in Industrial Construction field or project work
-must be energetic, self-motivated, work with minimal supervision and be a versatile problem solver in workplace safety
-strong written, verbal and organizational skills
