THE OPPORTUNITY
Contangos team of environmental scientists is growing and we are always interested in hearing from skilled, enthusiastic and innovative environmental professionals to join our consulting team. The available positions will be focused in design and operation of passive and semi-passive biological water treatment (focus on constructed treatment wetlands). Our key sectors of application are waters influenced by mining, non-conventional oil and gas operations, and other industrial activities.
Due to our continuous growth, we are seeking individuals with experience and skill sets in a variety of areas to join our Saskatoon team in full-time, permanent positions. We encourage applicants who have one or more of the following skill sets to contact us with an application.
EXPERIENCE/SKILLS
-Passive/semi-passive biological water treatment for waters impacted by the focus areas listed above
-Environmental project coordination
-Assembling permitting and regulatory documents for mine closure plans (with focus on water management and treatment)
-Water chemistry analysis and interpretation (e.g., chemistry, geochemistry)
-Biogeochemistry
-Technical writing
-Data communication and presentation (e.g., creation of graphs, figures, presentations)
-Multivariate statistics
-Management and integration of large scientific datasets
-Marketing and communication of environmental services and technologies related to mine reclamation
YOUR PROFILE
-University-level education in a related field
-Minimum 2 years work experience in environmental consulting
-Thrive in a dynamic, growing, collaborative team environment
-Enjoy continual learning and problem solving
