Description

The Kronau Heritage Museum seeks a Community Program and Outreach Coordinator for Summer Student employment commencing May 17th.

Duties include:
a. To oversee the development and implementation of an age specific summer cultural childrens programs for the children of Kronau and surrounding area based on the exhibits and displays of the Kronau Heritage Museum. This will be 2 one-week programs with different course content each time.

b. To present an outline of program content and relevant supplies required to a member of the Museums Human Resource committee for approval before the program is promoted and/or delivered.

c. To purchase supplies as required based on budget and provide receipts for purchases.

d. Provide the programs at the Museum, with a one week program delivered in July and a one week program delivered in August.

e. To provide the Kronau Heritage Museum with parent/children contact lists and photographs/images and completed photo release forms to help promote the program to the community, donors and sponsors.

f. To ensure that the program area is set up before the program begins and that the space and surrounding areas of the museum grounds are cleaned and all supplies/equipment put away at the conclusion of the program.

g. To create an inventory of supplies and equipment remaining at the end of the program.

h. To assist with the development of age appropriate activities for children and adults during the Museums Simple Fun Family Festival.

i. To deliver the Museum in A Suitcase, to schools, special care and seniors homes in the surrounding area during the period of this contract.

j. To ensure that the Museum, its artifacts, displays and assets are protected from damage and to set up/tear down the program area

Requirements:
- Candidates will be full time post-secondary students.
- Candidates must have a valid drivers license and access to a vehicle
