We are searching for a nanny to take care of our first child starting January 2018. 40 hours per week in-home care for 1 child under 18 years of age. Experience and references are required. Will work in a private household in Saskatoon for the duration of employment. Will also be responsible for accompanying child to and from various activities outside of the house. Must be available to work odd hours, for example evenings and weekends, on occasion. Offering wage based on schooling and experience, but no less than $13.00 per hour.
Main duties include:
Supervise and care for child in employer's residence
Bathe, dress and feed infant
Prepare formula and change diapers for infant
Plan, prepare and serve meals for child and may perform other housekeeping duties
Oversee child's activities, such as meals and rest periods, as instructed by employer
Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home
Instruct child in personal hygiene
Tend to the emotional well-being of child and support their social development
Discipline child according to the methods requested by the parents
Organize and participate in activities such as games, crafts, reading and outings
Take child to and from school and appointments
Required to keep records of daily activities and health information regarding each child.
Education and Training requirements:
Completion of secondary school required.
Completion of a training program in child care or a related field preferred.
Child care or household management experience required.
6 months relevant experience required.
First aid certification and CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) training required.
