Applications are invited for a tenure-track faculty position at the level of Assistant/Associate Professor in Zoological Medicine in the Department of Small Animal Clinical Sciences. This position is available July 1, 2017 but the start date is negotiable.
Applicants must possess a D.V.M. degree or its equivalent and must be eligible for licensure with the Saskatchewan Veterinary Medical Association. The successful candidate should be a Diplomate of the American College of Zoological Medicine (ACZM) or be eligible for board certification with the ACZM. An alternative training program (e.g. ABVP) may be considered. Possession of an advanced degree is desirable.
The successful applicant will be expected to contribute to the development and delivery of a dynamic zoological medicine service. They will teach undergraduate and graduate students in the field of zoo, exotics and wildlife medicine and surgery. The candidate will be expected to provide clinical service in the Veterinary Medical Centre and at the Saskatoon Zoo, to develop a research program in an area related to their interests and the interests of the institution, and contribute to extension and continuing education programs.
Salary ranges: Assistant Professor $93,293.00 - $112,109.00; Associate Professor $112,109.00 - $130,925.00.
