Description

Summer Student Position. The Lloydminster Interval Home Society is hiring for the summer student position of Summer Recreation Coordinator. The position will run for 14 weeks at 40 hours per week and commences June 1, 2017. The successful candidate will report to the Program Manager and is responsible for the design, delivery and evaluation of the Lloydminster Community Youth Centre's Summer Recreation Program. Duties include:
To work collaboratively with program facilitator/s and volunteers to deliver weekend recreational programs and activities for youth.
To establish genuine relationships with youth and be a positive role model.
To plan, develop and deliver recreational program and/or activities for youth on weekdays.
To coordinate various public awareness, education sessions for youth, and possible fundraising events.
To maintain resource information, brochures, pamphlets etc. for Centre use, and a supply for youth to access.
To develop an activities binder to be used within the Youth Centre.
To develop business cards, signs for the centre and brochures advertising the Youth Centre programs and services.
To develop a Summer Recreation Program binder listing all activities, waivers, forms, ice breakers, evaluations, recommendations for next year, attendance sheets, etc.
To maintain the Summer Recreation Program budget.
To provide written reports and outcome measures to Program Manager.
To attend monthly staff meetings and personal development and training opportunities as directed by the Program Manager.
Develops and maintains knowledge and linkages to community with regards to participant referrals and supports.
You must have been registered as a full-time post-secondary student during the past year. You must be returning to college or university in the fall of 2017. A valid driver's license, a minimum of 3 years' driving and insurance history and a clean driving record are required.
