Description

Pioneer Co-op is currently recruiting for an Agronomist for a $38 million Agronomy operation in Swift Current, Sask.

Reporting to the Agronomy Division Manager, the successful applicant will be responsible for providing professional information on all aspects of crop production to local area farmers. This includes advising farmers on cropping plans, seed and soil assessments, fertility, pesticide use, resistance management and harvesting decisions. The successful Ag Team applicant will be involved in direct sales calls and will be expected to stay current in the agricultural sector by becoming a member of the Saskatchewan Institute of Agrology and attending training and industry meetings. The position will be based out of the Swift Current Agronomy Centre and will assist with branch locations. A Degree in Agriculture specializing in crop sciences or a certified crop advisor designation with agriculture experience and knowledge of product is required.
