Applications are invited for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in the Department of Physiology at the University of Saskatchewan to begin Jan 1, 2018. The Departments of Physiology, Pharmacology, and Anatomy and Cell Biology are in the process of merging and the successful candidate will become part of this joint department when the merger is complete. Applicants must have a PhD degree in Physiology or a related biomedical discipline and should have substantial post-doctoral experience. The successful candidate will have an outstanding publication record and will be expected to develop a strong externally-funded research program. A competitive start-up package will be available. The successful candidate will also contribute to teaching in the PHPY undergraduate program and to the teaching and mentoring of graduate students.
The current salary range for an Assistant Professor at the University of Saskatchewan is $93,293 to $112,109 (the range for an Associate Professor is $112,109 to $130,925 and the range for Professor is $130,925 to $152,877). Also a comprehensive benefits package including pension plan, life insurance (compulsory and voluntary), academic long term disability, sick leave, travel insurance, death benefit, dental plan, extended health and vision care plan, employee assistance program and flexible health and wellness spending program.
