Under the direction of a Team Lead this position is an integral member of the Data Services team in the department of Information Technology Services (ITS).
The Senior Database Administrator is highly skilled in the design, configuration, implementation and maintenance of Saskatchewan Polytechnics enterprise database architecture. Senior Database Administrators have a high degree of expert knowledge in technologies related to enterprise relational database management and enterprise resource planning (ERP) ecosystems.
This position is relied upon to provide expert technical guidance, direction and instruction to projects, management, team members and clients.
Experience with Microsoft Windows environments and Oracle databases and related tools is an asset.

Main job duties include:
    Database management
o    Design, implement and configure Oracle and SQLServer databases
o    Manage relational database management systems and data warehouses
o    Manage database security and access control
o    Perform data backup and recovery
o    Monitor and maintain the health, performance and integrity of database systems
    ERP ecosystem administration
o    Middle-tier application server administration
o    Deployment, configuration and testing of ERP system installs, upgrades and integration
    Present, interpret, and document information in a manner easily understandable by management, clients and team members
    Participate in projects and initiatives in advisory and technical expert roles

This position may be located in Saskatoon, Regina, Moose Jaw or Prince Albert.
