Description

Applications are invited for a tenure-track faculty position at the level of Assistant Professor in the Department of Finance and Management Science in the Edwards School of Business. The successful candidate will hold a Ph.D. in Finance and be required to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in finance, supervise student research projects; participate in research activities; and undertake relevant administrative activities. The candidate will have experience or be interested in teaching investment management, investment banking, corporate finance, and contributing to the student managed portfolio trust. Teaching interests in the other relevant areas will also be considered.
Consistent with its goal of achieving and sustaining business school accreditation (AACSB), Edwards School of Business will recruit those individuals whose academic training and/or professional activities clearly align with our recruitment standards.
Salary bands for this position are as follows: Assistant Professor $93,293 - $112,109; Associate Professor $112,109  $130,925; Full Professor $130,925 - $152,877, with a higher starting salary in rare and exceptional circumstances pursuant to Article 18.2.6.12 of the 2014-2017 USFA Collective Agreement (see: http://www.usaskfaculty.ca/?attachment_id=3298).  This position includes a comprehensive benefits package which includes a dental, health and extended vision care plan; pension plan, life insurance (compulsory and voluntary), academic long term disability, sick leave, travel insurance, death benefits, an employee assistance program, a professional expense allowance, and a flexible health and wellness spending program.
