Description

The Safety Program Consultant is to promote the art and science of safety to the WCB R11 rate code (Heavy Construction/Civil Industry) of Saskatchewan.
Major responsibilities will include:
Safety program auditing for both R and non-R code companies, instruct classroom courses for our association, communicate with members the advantages of developing, and maintaining a Health and Safety program, act as a resource person for members, assist members with investigations and inspections when requested, consult and problem solve, represent the association in a positive and professional manner.
Skills and Experience:
Public speaking and/or teaching experience, problem solving skills, attention to detail is essential, maintain a professional appearance and demeanor, proficiency with Microsoft Office programs, as well as other computer programs is key to the position.
Training and Qualifications:
Heavy Civil industry experience preferred, applicant will hold the NCSO/CSO designation or be able to qualify for the designation in a timely manner.
Communication:
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively via phone, email, in person, instant, or text message.
Must be able to source, read, and interpret written information.
Candidate must be fluent in verbal and written English.
