Job Description: The Assistant Facility Manager is directly accountable to the Health Services Manager of Kamsack Hospital and Nursing Home.   The Assistant Facility Manager is accountable for front line leadership, for creating and sustaining a workplace environment that fosters respect, build trust, practices open communication, encourages innovation and promotes meaningful participation, growth and development.  The Assistant Facility Manager is responsible for the efficient and effective operation of the facility by providing direction, coordination of care, delivering, planning and direct and indirect client care in accordance with the Mission, Vision, and Values as well as the policies and procedures of the Sunrise Health Region. The Assistant Facility Manager is also accountable for patient and staff safety as well as managing and evaluating staff performance.
Required Qualifications

Bachelor Degree in Nursing
Eligible for registration with SRNA
Experience
Management/leadership experience in health care, with a demonstrated ability to manage people and resources in the health service environment.

Five years clinical experience in acute care.

Long Term Care experience is an asset.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Basic computer skills
Ability to work independently
Leadership skills
Ability to travel both within the region and provincially
Strong interpersonal, communication and writing skills
An understanding and commitment to the vision, mission and values of the region
Demonstrated ability to direct and facilitate change.
Able to become an integral part of the Sunrise Health Region Management Team, assuming responsibility for the overall ope
