Experience- Minimum of 3-4 full seasons of Apiary experience required.
Job Includes: to work in the presence of honey bees.
-Assist with colony management and co-ordinate the production of nucs and or replacement of beehives.
-Queen rearing
-Honey extraction and processing
-Recognize and report beehive health issues and apply appropriate disease cures or controls
-Supervise and give direction to other employees
-Keep field and production records and any other apiary jobs that are required.
Education: no formal education but with at least Grade 12 would be an asset.
Valid Driver's licence
Have own vehicle to get back and forth to work.
Be in good physical condition and be able to work in a team environment.
Employment Details: Seasonal (F/T) 40+ hours per week (must be able to work some evenings an weekends if need be).
Location of Work: SE 14-56-8 W3 (rural Big River)
