Description

ULS has an exciting opportunity for a Journeyman Automotive or Heavy Duty Technician to join our team in Saskatoon. This position will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing and providing repairs to landscape maintenance and construction, as well as snow and ice removal equipment. We are looking for a self-starter who works well with others. This role will be our sole technician in the shop at this time, so ULS is seeking someone with some fleet management skills.  Salary negotiable with experience.
Responsibilities
Troubleshoot and service various maintenance, construction, and snow/ice removal equipment in both a shop environment and in the field as required
Utilize manuals and diagnostic equipment to perform work duties
Maintain work orders and Assist in the management of repairs
Use of Hydrostatic tools and equipment
Install replacement parts and Use of mechanical lifting devices and winches
Basic/Required Qualifications
Valid Red Seal Interprovincial Journeyman Automotive Service Technician or Heavy Duty Technician certification
Minimum 3+ years of relevant experience
Possesses own tools
Demonstrates initiative
Valid Drivers License and proof of current Drivers Abstract
Legally Authorized to Work in Canada with no Restrictions
Preferred Qualifications
Experience repairing and maintaining commercial mowing equipment is an asset (Toro, John Deere, Walker)
Proficiency with computer maintenance programs
Hydraulic & Diesel engine diagnostic experience
Conditions and Characteristics
Ability to complete job with physical demands including considerable standing, walking, squatting, pushing/pulling, grasping, lifting and reaching
Manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand/foot coordination
Ability to perform tasks involving heavy lifting/carrying of items up to 80lbs
