Sunrise Foods International, Inc. is a global leader in the supply of organic and specialty agri-products, headquartered in Saskatoon, SK Canada.  

JOB FUNCTION
As Sunrise Foods continues to expand its operations in North America and abroad, the need to strategically manage logistics from a global perspective is of the highest importance.  We are looking for a driven individual who will work closely with the Vice President of Supply Chain to coordinate and manage in-transit inventory of foreign sourced commodities across different modes of transportation.

JOB RESPONSIBLITIES
-Coordinating the procurement of commodities abroad
-Keeping track of shipping schedules and taking ownership of on time performance
-Managing inbound and outbound ocean container shipments
-Managing barge shipments
-Facilitating the hand off between modes of transportation (i.e. vessel to rail, container to barge, etc)
-Analyze efficiency of current trade lanes and modes of transportation to increase profitability
-In transit inventory reporting and management
-Organizing the proper documentation with commodity vendors to adhere to governmental and company import requirements
-Continuing and establishing new strong relationships with logistics vendors
-Negotiating contracts with logistics vendors
-Working with different departments internally to align goals and strategies
-Periodic travel requirement (Canada and US)
